The Horse Museum Artland
is a local museum which provides the rich and exciting history of breeding the Hanoverian Horse in this outstanding region. Diverse displays portray the history and the development beginning already in the year 1820 with the first two Hanoverian stallions at the breeding station in Badbergen.
Main objects are both breeding Hanoverians at typical large scale farms in the region “Artland” and breeding progress which nowadays results in sportive highlights at international horse shows. Beside that a variety of working tools of agricultural work in the old days are shown.
You are most welcome to have a look at the breeding history of the Hanoverian horse in the Artland displayed at an impressing old farm ground.
Groups can also visit the Museum outside normal opening times throughout the season and should be booked in advance. Guided tours are possible.

The museum is open on Sundays from April 28 th to Sept. 16 th.
Hours are 11:00 AM through 6:00 PM. Groups are welcome to book arrangements outside normal opening times.
